Last Week We Bottled Oskyfizzante® Cranberry, the Hard Way!

Last week, the cellar team bottled Oskyfizzante Cranberry. This is a carbonated wine that has a rosy color in the glass and a wonderful cranberry note on the nose. The “fizzies” are bottled by hand and this is definitely not a process for the faint of heart or weak of arm. The carbonated wines can bubble up and make a mess just like a soda or champagne can, so everything (the wine, the bottles, and the cellar itself) is kept as cold as possible to reduce the possibility of making a mess. It takes a combination of Mike Tyson and an orchestra conductor to work the manual bottler. If you ever get to witness the process, you might just find yourself put to work!

Check out the Tassel Ridge Winery Facebook page. Jonita, our Cellar Specialist, shows the whole system in action in a video.
