2 Tbsp oil
2 cups peeled, small diced, roasted butternut squash
1 cup diced pear
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp ground cloves
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
¾ cup Milton Creamery Quark
2 Tbsp balsamic reduction
Heat oil in skillet. Combine squash, pear, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ½ teaspoon salt, and ½ teaspoon pepper in skillet. Sauté about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside. Combine quark and remaining salt and pepper. Spread quark mixture on crostini. Top with squash mixture. Drizzle crostini with balsamic reduction. Serves 4.
Wine Recommendation: Tassel Ridge Steuben
Steuben is a light, fruity, semi-sweet, easy-drinking style rosé with cherry and apple notes and just a hint of cinnamon on the nose and cherry and apple flavors on the palate with a slightly spicy, tangy finish. Made entirely from Steuben grapes, Steuben is perfect with medium intensity flavored foods. Serve chilled.
