Tassel Ridge Iowa Nouveau is a light, fruity wine that blends well with the spices in both of the recipes below.
Tassel Ridge® Iowa Mulled Wine
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- 1 tsp whole allspice
- 2–3 cinnamon sticks, plus additional sticks for garnish
- 1 bottle Tassel Ridge® Iowa Nouveau
- 1 cup sugar
- 2–3 orange slices
Instructions

Put water, cloves, allspice, and 2 to 3 cinnamon sticks in a non-reactive (not aluminum) pot. Bring to a rolling boil. Reduce heat to simmer. Add Tassel Ridge Iowa Nouveau and sugar, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Float orange slices on top. Serve hot in mugs or cups. Garnish with a cinnamon stick. Serves 5-6.

Tassel Ridge® Iowa Glögg
Ingredients
- 1 cup Tassel Ridge® Iowa Nouveau
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup raisins
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground mace
- 9 whole cloves
Instructions

Combine Tassel Ridge® Iowa Nouveau, water, raisins, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, and cloves in non-reactive (not aluminum) pot. Stir to dissolve sugar. Simmer on low for 30 minutes. Strain through cheesecloth or strainer. Serve warm. Serves 2.
