Candlelight is a semi-sweet wine made from Chardonnay grapes that has been a popular part of our wine list for several years. We brought in grapes from out-of-state in our early years because our own vineyards weren’t producing enough grapes to meet our needs. That time has passed and so we will be retiring Candlelight when it sells out in the next 2–3 weeks. Some of our retailers still have Candlelight in stock, so if you really like it, now is the time to pick up a couple bottles. Its place in our product line will be taken over by Brianna, La Crescent, and Edelweiss, all of which are made from grapes that we grow in our vineyards.
Our American Chardonnay will similarly leave our product line when it runs out in 2–3 months. Its place will be taken by Iowa White Blossom and by a new Candleglow® White that will be released in September.
We also retired Tickled Pink when we ran out of that wine a few months ago. It was a semi-sweet pink wine made from Zinfandel grapes that we also brought in from out-of-state. We have nine different rosés to take the place of Tickled Pink.
