Just in time for grilling season, we have new sauces and rubs available at the Tassel Ridge Winery gift shop. Memphis and Carolina’s are the new rubs and Jamaican Jerk Sauce provides you with new flavors for meats.
If you’re planning to grill ribs this summer, try the Memphis Rub, featuring flavors of paprika, molasses, and a hint of brown sugar. We recommend pairing meat coated in this rub with any vintage of Tassel Ridge Iowa Marquette. If pulled pork is more your style, try the Carolina’s Rub, featuring real down home Carolina flavor. This rub would also enhance the flavor of chicken, ribs or beef brisket. We recommend pairing the Carolina rub with Iowa Cuvée 220 or 2009 Iowa Frontenac Rosé.
Our newest grill rub, the Texas Rub, features sweet and smoky flavors of brown sugar, molasses, and spices. Chef Frank says that this rub is reminiscent of his own rib rub, and he recommends it with beef brisket as well. We recommend pairing the Texas rub with Iowa Cuvée 220 or 2013 Iowa St. Croix Rosé.
Are you in the mood for a Caribbean getaway? Try adding Jamaican Jerk Sauce to your grilled chicken, beef, pork or shrimp. This sauce will even kick up the flavor on grilled brats (we recommend Leighton Locker brats). We recommend enjoying this spicy sauce with Iowa White Blossom or Steuben.
A new addition to our Stonewall Kitchen sauce collection, the Honey Chili Grille Sauce is perfect for adding flair to your spare ribs, sizzle to your steak tips, and zest to your spring rolls or wontons. Chef Frank recommends trying this sauce with grilled chicken. We recommend pairing with the Honey Chili Grille Sauce with Iowa Marquette Rosé.
All three grill rubs are $7.50 for a 4 oz. jar. The new sauces are $7.95 for an 11 oz. bottle.
