Iowa-St.-Croix-Rose-2013-FAKE100X175Our new, award-winning 2013 Iowa St. Croix Rosé is available for you to taste at the Winery. This wine received a silver medal at the Rosé Competition in Healdsburg, California in late March, and it is being delivered to more of our retailers each week.

The 2013 Iowa St. Croix Rosé is the result of many experiments we’ve undertaken to learn the best way to make great wine from St. Croix. This wine has 2% residual sugar, just enough to balance the acid that is usually high in the grapes we grow in Iowa.

The 2013 Iowa St. Croix Rosé is a dry rosé with strawberry, raspberry, peach, and nectarine notes and a slightly drying finish. It is made entirely from St. Croix grapes grown in our Mahaska County, Iowa vineyards. The 2013 St. Croix Rosé will complement Asian Stir-fry, Mexican dishes, and other spicy foods. It is best when served slightly chilled.

We’ve received numerous compliments on this new wine. It is soft on the palate at first but offers really nice flavors quickly.
