We are getting our Newport Lane Vineyard ready for mechanical pruning and then expect to make fast work of this vineyard on Tuesday with our V-Mech system. We will be spraying Sulforix, also known as Lime-Sulfur, a little later in the week. Sulforix is a fungicide that kills fungi that over-winter in cracks in the trunks and canes of the vines. We need to avoid wind and rain so the exact date we will spray depends on weather. In any event, we need to put this spray on the vines before they bud out.
The next vineyard we will work on is Tassel Ridge where we have 31 acres of vines.
