Although we can’t grow Merlot, Syrah, or Zinfandel in Iowa, Tassel Ridge Winery made wines from these grapes purchased out of Iowa in 2008 and 2009. And, we made some great wines. Come on in to our Tasting Room and taste them for yourselves!
The American Merlot has big body and flavors, the American Syrah is a little more restrained, and the Zinfull Red is a light Zinfandel.
All are priced at $20.00 for a 750 ml bottle, plus tax and bottle deposit. And, they all pair nicely with fully flavored winter foods.
We also offer an American Reserve Merlot which had 44 months of aging in oak barrels. It is absolutely yummy.
The Tassel Ridge American Reserve Merlot is priced at $30 per 750 ml bottle, plus tax and bottle deposit. This wine is only available at the Winery.
