They prepared the Candleglow® Red for bottling this week. It offers distinctive plum aromas with a long finish.
We blended a new sweet red wine that we will release late this spring. It is a very fruity wine. Stay tuned for this release.
Our cellar team also blended the next batch of Iowa In the Dark. It offers a nice blend of dark fruit combined with a long, smooth finish.
Our 2014 Iowa Marquette is coming along nicely. It is still a little rough around the edges so we will be doing some work on that.
On Thursday, we received another batch of Concord from which we will make our very popular Red, White, & Blue®. We are warming it up so we can start the fermentation.
Jonita, our Cellar Specialist, watched the game Sunday and paired Iowa Cuvée 220 with Little Smokies and Iowa Brianna with a shrimp dip. I wonder which was better, the game or the food!
