Weed Badger
Last week’s wet weather allowed work in the vineyard on just two days. However, we got one of our four vineyards sprayed with Sulforix and more of the long pruning complete.
This week, we will mechanically prune all of the Tassel Ridge vineyard. We’ll continue spraying herbicide under the vines and will use our Weed Badger in places where it is dry enough.
At the end of the week, we will start short pruning. This is done by hand. Once we have short pruned, we are really at the mercy of the weather. If we get a hard freeze before about May 10, our harvest can be severely damaged. We have our fingers crossed!
