We started our testing and tasting this week on Monday. St. Pepin and Marquette look really good. La Crescent still has high acid but the sugar level is about right.
Our new press has been a comedy of errors. Not only did it arrive just a couple of days too late to be used last season, we discovered about a month ago that its legs were too short. New legs were ordered from the supplier in Slovenia and they are supposed to arrive this week. We think we ought to name a new wine with a Slovenian name. Does anybody have any ideas?
We are all ready for grapes.
