Now hiring for a Content and Social Media Specialist to join the Tassel Ridge Winery Team
Tassel Ridge Winery is currently seeking a creative, team-oriented candidate for a part-time Content and Social Media Specialist position located at the winery in Leighton, Iowa. This position is responsible for creating, managing, and distributing content across a variety of digital platforms to increase brand awareness, grow social media audiences, and support customer acquisition and retention goals. A flexible schedule is required, including availability for some evenings, weekends, and special events.
Help tell the story of Iowa’s largest winery through photography, video, social media, and creative digital storytelling.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience in social media management, content creation, marketing, communications, or related field.
- Strong writing, proofreading, design, and analytics skills.
- Experience with photography and videography for use in social media and digital content.
- Experience using social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn,
TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and X.
- Knowledge of content creation and publishing tools; experience with Adobe Express is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and community organizations.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- Must be able and willing to complete the required pre-offer background check and preemployment physical and drug screen
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent work-related experience.

Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, and publish content across multiple formats including photography, video, blog posts, graphics, drone footage, and other digital media. Capture and edit photography and video content showcases the winery, vineyard, events, products, and guest experiences.
- Develop creative content strategies that increase engagement, visibility, and customer loyalty.
- Monitor and engage with social media audiences by responding to comments, messages, mentions, and user-generated content.
- Create and maintain social media posting schedules that ensure consistent Tassel Ridge branding and messaging.
- Coordinate with marketing, sales, management, tasting room, and cellar teams to support promotions, events, and campaigns.
- Promote winery events and develop content that connects Tassel Ridge Winery with local communities, tourism groups, chambers, and regional attractions.
- Monitor analytics, engagement metrics, and campaign performance; provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay current on emerging social media trends, tools, and platform updates.
- Represent the winery with a professional appearance and demeanor.

Now hiring for a Sales Representative to join the Tassel Ridge Winery Sales Team
This full-time sales and retail support position will cover an assigned territory located within the State of Iowa. One to two nights a week will be overnight stays in the assigned territory. Sales Representatives begin and end each day at the Winery, located in Leighton IA, except for when an overnight stay is required. All candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess a clean driving record. The ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds is required. Previous sales experience is preferred but not required.
As a Sales Representative your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Make daily sales calls and in person visits to promote award-winning Iowa wine to new and existing retailers.
- Achieves retail sales distribution goals by developing and managing a network of retailers that actively sell Tassel Ridge wines.
- Maximizes sales opportunities by building new and existing relationships with retailers to help them sell Tassel Ridge wines.
- Delivers wine that meets retailer needs and maintains our displays as necessary.
- Analyzes the external environment and provides insights on consumer feedback, volumes, and pricing that is essential to enabling the Winery to establish future strategic objectives, goals, and product offerings.
- Works as part of the Winery Sales Team to help ensure that all of our retail customers’ needs are met.
- Contributes to regular sales team meetings.
- Is committed to working weekends and evenings as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor based on needs.

Meadowcreek Vineyard, the primary grape supplier for Tassel Ridge Winery, is now hiring for the 2026 season. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team immediately and work through harvest which concludes in October or November.
Work Schedule:
- Typically, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, can vary depending on weather conditions
- Occasional weekend work as needed
- Early morning shifts (starting at 3:00 a.m.) during harvest season (August – September)
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain trellis systems
- Prune, plant, tie, and irrigate vines
- Perform general vineyard maintenance including weed control and removal
- Harvest grapes
- Perform duties related to vine care
Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (extreme cold, heat, humidity)
- Physical capability to stand, walk, squat, and kneel for prolonged periods
- Exposure to allergens (pollen, bees, dust) and field critters
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to commute to multiple locations around Leighton and Oskaloosa, IA

Now hiring for Part-Time Tasting Room Staff to join the Tassel Ridge Winery Tasting Room
Tassel Ridge Winery is seeking team-oriented individuals who are passionate about wine to join our Tasting Room staff. The successful candidate must be able to work varying hours for special events (Friday or Saturday evenings) as well as normal business hours on Saturday (10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) and/or Sunday (noon–6:00 p.m.). An employee is expected to work a minimum of two weekends per month.
The ideal candidates will be comfortable conducting detailed tours for guests and understands the importance of creating customer relationships. Primary responsibilities include preparing and serving wine flight tastings, helping customers select a wine that matches his/her taste profile, processing gift shop transactions, serving food and wine at dinners, and ensuring the visitor areas are clean and well kept.
Attributes that are needed to perform these responsibilities include:
- Interest in wine and a desire to learn about wine by tasting and consuming it with meals
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base
- Team-oriented with the ability to work in an environment that requires flexibility
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Some computer and/or cash register knowledge
