National Balloon Museum
Experience the history of ballooning, from its beginnings in the 1700s in France to the modern day, presented in a variety of displays and exhibits of gas, hot air, smoke balloons, airships, zeppelins, and memorabilia including the Children’s Learning Area and a research library. The museum is closed January and February. Open daily 1:00-4:00 p.m. the rest of the year. Closed all major holidays. Admissions charged. Tours welcome but please call ahead. The museum will work with tour schedules.
