We are grateful for the rain we got this week, but it did slow down the pruning. We finished pruning our La Crescent at Meadowcreek and got started on Edelweiss at Tassel Ridge. The Edelweiss will be a long effort because we have about 17 acres. We finished spraying the Lime-Sulfur mix on the trunks of vines and started spraying pre-emergent to control weeds that will sprout when it warms up a bit.
The vines are still dormant with no signs of buds swelling or sap moving in the vines. That is good because we still have the probability of freezing nights.
