We started our harvest last week by handpicking the LaCrosse at Maple Woods Vineyard. A lot of the vines are young but we were still disappointed with both the amount of fruit and the quality. The bees were attacking the fruit with a vengeance so we were all happy to get this job done.
This week, we harvested more samples for testing in the cellar and got the harvest bins washed out on Monday. We harvested the Brianna at Tassel Ridge on Tuesday and harvested the LaCrosse at Meadowcreek late this week. We also expect to harvest the Edelweiss very soon. This will be a big deal because we have 17 acres of Edelweiss so it will take several days.
