Our vineyard team has made excellent progress in getting the Maple Woods vineyard cleaned up and ready for harvest. We got our hawk kites up. They look like hawks to birds who leave the grapes alone when they see the kites. The Sabrevois looks really good and we’ll have a good harvest of this grape. LaCrosse is very weak and we probably won’t bother to harvest the very small quantity of fruit we will have. The St. Pepin and Brianna are worth harvesting, but the yield will be very small. We also got preventative maintenance done on the harvester.
