Beginning at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, our harvest crew of four people started harvesting Brianna at our Maple Woods Vineyard. They finished at about 10:45 and moved north to Newport Lane Vineyard. After harvesting Brianna at Newport Lane Vineyard, they moved the equipment over to Tassel Ridge and finished harvesting Brianna at Tassel Ridge Vineyard on Wednesday. All of the fruit picked Tuesday was chilled in our refrigerated trucks overnight and was processed on Wednesday.
We plan to harvest Edelweiss on Monday. Because we have 17 acres of Edelweiss, this is going to be a big job. Fortunately, all of these grapes are at Tassel Ridge Vineyard.
We are really pleased with the quantity of grapes we’ve harvested so far. And, the quality looks really good also.
