The rain last week and again this week has created some short days and many tasks were not complete. The top priority is to complete the harvest estimate and then to thin leaves in our Marquette blocks. We will finish removing Mulberry trees at Newport Lane, start tensioning trellis wires, fertilize and hand spray herbicide under new vines and also hand spray herbicide under Edelweiss in Block A at Tassel Ridge.
Last weekend, we got about 3.5 inches of rain on our vineyards. We don’t think we had any hail. While we are happy to have the water, everything is very soggy.
