The Tulips are Gone But Come to Tassel Ridge Winery for the Lilacs

We plant 400 red tulips each year and select three different tulip varieties: one that blooms early, another that blooms late, and the last that blooms in the middle. They are all the same color but it gives us a longer blooming period. The blooms are all gone for this year but we do have lilacs, some of which are very showy. These guys don’t get much care and frankly, some are not memorable. But 6–7 are really showy this year. Back when we built the Winery in 2015, we had the opportunity to purchase five each of 50 different lilac varieties. Some were dark blue, others were white, and still others were a combination of purple and white. Take a walk around the north end of the parking lot and then out onto the lawn north of the Winery for your own “lilac” experience!
