Our vineyard crew started the week by fine-pruning the Brianna at Maple Woods and then shifted to fine pruning all of the small vineyard at Meadowcreek East. They then moved to Brianna at Tassel Ridge and finally the very large Edelweiss planting at Tassel Ridge. Edelweiss at Tassel Ridge will take a couple of weeks at least, because there are 17 acres of Edelweiss.

Next week, we will start spraying a lime-sulfur mix on trunks in all four vineyards. This spray is critical because critters over-winter in the trunk and cordons of all grapevines and we need to kill them before they do their damage in the summer. By the way, the same spray is used on almost all fruit trees for the same reason.
