Although our vines are nearly three weeks behind last year, the warm weather has told them that spring is here and it’s time to break buds and grow leaves. The change in just ten days is dramatic.

We are bringing pruning to a close, especially in the Edelweiss. As the vineyard manager, Adam Nunnikhoven says, it won’t be pretty but it will be done.

We will be mowing as time permits. Warm weather not only stimulates growth of the vines but also of the grass between the rows.

We still have the Lime-Sulfur spray to apply on a couple of days with no rain and no wind.
