Harvest is everything right now. The week began with the Marquette harvest. This is a nine acre vineyard block so we allowed most of two days. The good news is that it only took one long day. The bad news is that because of the very dry weather, the grapes were not very juicy and we got about one ton less than we had forecast.
This week, we also harvested La Crescent, St. Pepin, and Frontenac.
Last week, we harvested 47 tons of Edelweiss, about 2.5 tons of Sabrevois, and we had also harvested all of our LaCrosse. We have several smaller batches of other grape varieties to go.
