Last week, we continued cleaning up Maple Woods Vineyard however the frequent bouts of rain made that difficult. We did do some mowing in some of our vineyards. We delivered harvest carts to each vineyard and picked up our harvester from the local John Deere dealer where we had preventative maintenance done on it. And, this was the last week we had our seasonal student vineyard helpers. We hope to hire one or two more people to help during harvest and while we get the vines ready for winter.
While we wait for harvest to start, we will survey our vineyards for broken trellis wires and broken posts and get them fixed. We will also pick up a rental reefer truck for use during harvest.
