We removed suckers and tied up the LaCrosse vines at Maple Woods Vineyard. Rain helps the vines grow but the weeds seem to grow faster so we weed-whacked the newly planted vines at Meadowcreek Vineyard. These new vines are growing so fast that they were actually growing out of the grow-tubes so we pulled up the grow-tubes to keep the tender tips protected from deer and other predators. With all the rain, we had to pump our lagoons twice recently. The water is run onto the landscaping around the Winery. And, we are pulling trees at both Tassel Ridge and at Meadowcreek.

We are getting ready for harvest which will start in late August. Each year, we start by having the Harvester serviced followed by getting the refrigerated trucks serviced. We also got the pump on our sprayer rebuilt and then fertilized the new vines at Meadowcreek with a foliar spray.
