We finished harvest and got the harvester all washed out and ready for storage for the winter. It was a disappointing harvest both in terms of quantity and quality of the grapes. We have made up the difference between what we harvested and what we need by purchasing grapes from other growers.
We have been mowing all of our vineyards and will work hard to get them in good shape. We have also been fixing loose trellis wires and replacing broken trellis posts.
Our vineyard cleanup effort will start at Tassel Ridge with cleaning up the vineyard floor under the new Clarion vines. Then, we will remove the grow-tubes. We will clean up the Edelweiss, Brianna, and Petite Pearl next and then we will fertilize the vines.
We got about 3 inches of rain this week so we no longer are in a drought!
