While the vines are sound asleep, we are getting ready for pruning, spraying, and fertilizing. And, we are keeping our eyes on the temperatures. While the vines are fully dormant, they are still sensitive to major drops in air temperatures. It is as though they have temperature sensors working all the time. As low temperatures continue to be moderate in January through March, a sudden return to -10°F outdoor temperatures would have us very concerned. And, the later in the spring that the cold snap occurs, the greater the concern. Stay tuned!
