Although, pruning got stopped by the rain that hit on Monday, we should be able to finish up pruning La Crescent, Foch, and Edelweiss over the next 7–10 days. If we can get a couple of days with no wind, we’ll finish up spraying herbicide where vines have not budded out much. We will also get our Hagie sprayer out and get it cleaned up so we can start spraying fungicide.
We normally start planting new vines by mid-May so we are getting the delivery date set for the 1300 rooted cuttings we will plant this year. All of these vines will replace vines that have died.
