Last week, we took advantage of the weather and got all of Maple Woods Vineyard and part of the Marquette at Meadowcreek Vineyard sprayed with lime-sulfur. Weather permitting, we’ll spray other vineyards this week. We will prune Frontenac and St. Croix at Newport this week. We will also cut out old trunks on the LaCrosse and tie up the suckers from last year in both Meadowcreek and Newport Vineyards. Weather permitting, we will mechanically prune the Maple Woods Vineyard this week.
Our pruning is right on schedule…which is not always the case this early in the season.
