Our 2012 Iowa Finale Tawny is made from Foch and Frontenac grapes. Once the wine has finished fermenting, we put it in oak barrels for extended ageing for at least five years. It develops an amber color and has flavors of dried figs and apricots. It can be consumed by itself as dessert or with salted, roasted nuts, almond biscotti, or even with blue cheese. It is an outstanding after-dinner beverage!
Tassel Ridge wines are sold at about 350 retailers in Iowa. 2012 Iowa Finale Tawny is available at the Winery and at select retail locations.
