Each harvest, we invest a lot of time getting all of the equipment we need to process grapes set up before harvest. This involves getting the scales in place and being certified by the State. Then, we move the elevator and dump bin from the warehouse. We also move the destemmer-crusher and the must pump from the warehouse. Our two presses get a visit from the technician who does the annual preventative maintenance. And, we do a final deep clean of the crush pad and all of the equipment and hoses.
We processed 10.5 tons of Brianna Wednesday. We have about 1,700 gallons of Briana juice ready for wine making.
We continue to take samples of grapes to determine which variety will be next. At this point, we expect to harvest Edelweiss on Monday.
