We have cold stabilized batches of both Iowa Edelweiss and Red, White, & Blue®. We do this to minimize the chance that if a wine is ever subjected to cold temperatures, it won’t make tartrate crystals that settle to the bottom of the bottle. The crystals are harmless, but they look like glass shards which upsets people who don’t know where they come from.

We are taking care of some routine cleaning and maintenance chores and are getting documentation ready for reports we have to file with the State of Iowa and the Federal Government at the end of the month.
