The 2020 Iowa Sabrevois and 2020 Iowa Reserve Marquette are two of the best food pairing dry red wines we have ever made. They are both being released this week.
The 2020 Iowa Sabrevois has aromas of spices and leather and on the palate, it has blackberry, plum notes and hints of baking spice, smoke, and liquorish. This would be an excellent wine with beef steaks and roasts. It is made entirely from Sabrevois grapes grown in our Mahaska County vineyards.
The 2020 Iowa Reserve Marquette has aromas of bright cherry, and the palate has hints of baking spice and a long, moderately acidic finish. The acid will make it an exciting complement to beef dishes, Mexican, and spicy Asian dishes. All of the grapes used in making this wine were grown in our Mahaska County vineyards.
