Tassel Ridge Spicy Bacon Wrapped Breadsticks combine bacon with a bit (or more to taste) of spice and a bit of sweet. Tassel Ridge Sweet Roxie Red®, with a bit of sweetness, is a perfect wine pairing to for the sweet and spice.
Tassel Ridge® Spicy Bacon Wrapped Breadsticks
Ingredients
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- 2 tsp cayenne pepper more or less to taste
- 25 strips bacon
- 25 thin crisp breadsticks (grissini-style)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine brown sugar and cayenne pepper in small bowl. Put mixture on large plate. Set aside. Wrap a strip of bacon around length of each breadstick. Roll breadsticks in brown sugar mixture. Place in single layer on baking sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, or until bacon is crisp. Serve warm or at room temperature. Makes 25 breadsticks.
