We bottle the 2020 Iowa Nouveau, our first wine of the season, this week. This is a very fruity, dry red wine that lots of Iowans consume with Thanksgiving dinner. It will be released on Thursday, November 19.
Last week, we received Concord juice and started its fermentation. We added the lag nutrients on Saturday and will monitor the fermentation this week. We’ll be getting the Iowa Harvest Red ready for bottling.
We’ll also be fining the Edelweiss and Brianna, blending the wines that will make up the Candleglow® Red, filtering the American Steuben off Cream of Tartar, and getting juice ordered to make Blackberry Wine and American Pink Catawba.
