We will bottle small batches of both Iowa In the Dark and the 2019 Iowa Marquette on Tuesday. We are getting the small batches of Iowa Louise Swenson and Iowa St. Pepin ready for bottling within the next few weeks. We are also working on another batch of our very popular Blackberry which will be bottled early in June.
Finally, a minor task in the long run looms large this week. We are getting floors in our greenhouse and the cellar resurfaced on Thursday and Friday. This means that everything has to be moved out of the way, outside doors have to be locked, and everything turned topsy-turvy for two days. But, we’ll have floors that we can more easily keep clean (greenhouse) and floors in the cellar that are slip resistant and are also resistant to wine and the chemicals we use for cleaning. Maintenance never ends!
