Iowa White Bouquet will make its debut at Tassel Ridge Winery this week. It is a fruity, dry white blend that will be an excellent complement to chicken, fish, pork, and spicy dishes.
We are moving crush pad equipment to the Winery from our warehouse in order to get ready for harvest. We are tasting and testing grapes to determine when we are likely to harvest. Harvest planning involves comparing our estimates of harvest quantities to our wine making plan in order to determine which grape varieties and how much of each we should purchase from other Iowa growers. Finally, as time permits, we will change the drive wheels and star wheels in our bottling line back to accommodate the bottles that we usually use. The Iowa White Bouquet is in a “dead leaf green” bottle that has a larger diameter than the bottles we usually use.
