Sometimes, the best-laid plans just don’t work out. We were planning to bottle small quantities each of three different wines. We got the first two wines bottled and were just starting the third wine when a bottle broke in the machine. That was bad enough but the event also caused some critical parts of the bottling line to break at the same time. We are now waiting for the supplier of the bottling line to come out from upstate New York to fix the bottling machine.
We will use the time to taste all of the wines in barrels, get some labels ordered for an upcoming Red, White, & Blue® bottling, and do some housekeeping.
