The barrels we’d used for 2019 Iowa Marquette are now empty and need to be cleaned. We are working on blending the 2019 Iowa Marquette and In the Dark to get them ready for bottling. We are still working on our St. Pepin blend.
We’ve started wiping down door handles, railings, countertops and other surfaces daily with a disinfectant in order to keep the cellar clean and safe.
The coronavirus is already impacting deliveries of bottle caps and replacement valves for our tanks. The caps won’t be a crisis for another 2–3 weeks and after that, it will severely limit what we can bottle. The new valves will replace others that have just gotten “tired.” No crisis here.
