2 Tbsp finely ground coffee
4 tsp brown sugar
2 tsp chipotle chili pepper
1 tsp salt
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp black pepper
4 8-oz sirloins
4 tsp oil (canola or vegetable)
Combine coffee, sugar, chipotle, salt, cayenne, and black pepper. Set aside. Let steaks stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile preheat grill over medium heat. Lightly brush each steak with oil. Season each side evenly with coffee rub. Place steaks on grill and cook about 7 minutes. Turn and cook about 7 minutes more for medium temperature steaks. Remove from the grill. Let rest a couple of minutes before serving. Serves 4.
