Warm up with spicy Tassel Ridge® Blackened Turkey Burgers!
These Blackened Turkey Burgers have big fire from the spices, and Tassel Ridge Iowa Candleglow® Red, a sweet, fruity red wine, will put the fire out!
Tassel Ridge® Blackened Turkey Burgers
- 2 lbs ground turkey breast
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp hot pepper sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Blackened seasoning
- 4 Kaiser rolls
- lettuce leaves
- tomato slices
- red onion slivers
Combine turkey, green onions, Cajun seasoning, pepper sauce, salt, and pepper in large bowl. Mix thoroughly. Shape into 4 burgers slightly larger than rolls. Place Blackened seasoning on small plate. Dip burgers into seasoning, lightly coating both sides of each burger. Place burgers on hot, oiled grill over direct heat. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until no longer pink inside (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
Chef’s Note—Indoor method: Broil 6 to 8 inches from heat source for 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until no longer pink inside (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
