Grilled Coffee Chipotle Steaks and Chilled Iowa Silky St. Croix…perfect for Warm/Hot Evenings!

Tassel Ridge® Grilled Coffee Chipotle Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp finely ground coffee
  • 4 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground chipotle chili pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 8-oz sirloins (1-1½ thick)
  • 4 tsp oil (canola or vegetable)

Instructions

  1. Combine coffee, sugar, chipotle, salt, cayenne, and black pepper. Set aside. Let steaks stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile pre-heat grill over medium heat. Lightly brush each steak with oil. Season both sides of steaks with coffee rub. Place steaks on grill. Grill to desired doneness, about 6 to 7 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 145°F for medium. Remove from grill. Allow to rest 3 to 5 minutes before serving. Serves 4.
